Another Fatality on the Half Dome Cables in Yosemite :ch had an interesting conversation with my neighbors in terms of the Wanderer, which were recently on Half Dome this week. Turns out, it is the stepsister of my neighbor's best friend (if you can that follow). What was an eye opener in conversation is that few people traveled to Half Dome that day because of the questionable weather.
There were a few deaths in the last year, the NPS a permit, which would keep the number of hikers on the trail with access to the Institute prompted. This is the first death under the new system. It seems that rain had been falling steadily all morning, and most people turned on the cable around. Yosemite never officially closes the track due to weather, and they allow the traveler to meet their own decisions.
